Yes. We are a tuition-free public charter school. Public charter schools are open-enrollment public schools that have the flexibility to adapt to the educational needs of individual students, while being held to Arizona’s academic and financial accountability standards as overseen by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools (ASBCS).
PTAA Arizona serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade (K–8) at our Phoenix campus.
No. As a public charter school, PTAA Arizona is tuition-free for all enrolled students.
As an open-enrollment Arizona public charter school, admission is not limited based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, income level, disabling condition, proficiency in the English language, or athletic ability. PTAA Arizona enrolls all eligible students who submit a timely application and does not deny admission unless the number of applications exceeds capacity or the student has a prior or pending expulsion from another school (A.R.S. § 15-184).

If the number of applications for a grade level exceeds available seats, PTAA Arizona holds an equitable, random open-enrollment lottery in accordance with Arizona law. Families are then placed and, if necessary, added to a waitlist in lottery order.
